Mobile based self-screening toolkit is an application where anyone can screen themselves remotely and connect with public health system. TB is the worlds leading infectious disease killer, which claims 1.5 million lives each year, globally. Tuberculosis (TB) is a major public health problem in India. The country has the largest number of TB cases in the world — over a quarter of the global TB and multidrug-resistant TB (MDR-TB) burden. In 2016, 2.79 million people became ill from TB, and 435,000 died from it. There are more than 850,000 cases of TB each year in India that is either undetected and untreated or diagnosed and treated by private healthcare providers. Many of them live in rural and slum setting and belong to poor, semi-literate and migrant communities.This toolkit is designed for the communities to learn about TB and screen themselves with the help of symptomatic TB questionnaire. This application is linked with referral toolkit where treatment providers get the list of presumptive cases and they can take needful action against it. This toolkit is accessible in English and Hindi with audio-visual features to make the toolkit more user-friendly. This toolkit provides a holistic platform for learning, diagnosis and treatment of TB disease.
